These terms govern your use of the "Build What Matters" name, mark, logos, badges, HTML snippets, and any other brand assets (collectively, "Assets") provided through buildwhatmatters.io. By downloading or using the Assets, you agree to these terms.
These terms govern use of the Assets only. The Build What Matters idea and philosophy may be discussed, referenced, or described freely.
2. Licence
We grant you a non-exclusive, revocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use the Assets on your website, application, or marketing materials, subject to the rules below. This licence is personal to you and may not be sub-licenced or transferred.
3. Permitted uses
- Displaying the badge or banner on your website, landing page, or application footer.
- Linking the badge or banner to buildwhatmatters.io.
- Using suggested phrases (e.g., "We build what matters.") in proximity to the Assets.
4. Prohibited uses
- Claiming or implying that Build What Matters endorses, certifies, or has approved your product.
- Modifying the Assets in any way - including changing colors, proportions, fonts, or layout.
- Using the Assets in connection with products or services that are deceptive, illegal, or harmful.
- Registering or attempting to register any trademark or domain name that includes "Build What Matters" or any confusingly similar term.
- Using phrasing like "a Build What Matters product" that implies ownership or affiliation.
5. Trademark notice
"Build What Matters", the chevron mark, and associated logos are trademarks. All rights not expressly granted in these terms are reserved. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Assets are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Assets will be available, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Assets, whether based in contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise.
8. Termination
We may revoke this licence at any time, for any reason, by providing written notice (including email). Upon termination, you must remove all Assets from your products and materials within 14 days.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
